The 2023 New York Travel & Adventure Show
I’m pleased to announce that on January 28, I’ll be speaking at the New York Travel & Adventure Show. 2020 marked the final year of the New York Times Travel Show, which was held at the Javits Center in late January, the day after TravMedia’s IMM North America.
A Food Writer’s Guide to Brooklyn with Brian Cicioni
At 10:15 AM on Saturday, January 28, you can join me at the Javits Center in the Savvy Traveler Theater. I’ll be discussing what I’ve learned about Brooklyn’s food scene over the past ten years through cooking classes, food tours, and the dozens of Brooklyn-focused itineraries I’ve written for the blog, as well as outlets like Orbitz and USA Today. For a sneak preview, check out this 2021 presentation I did for The Nomadic Network.
Other speakers and seminars at the 2023 New York Travel & Adventure Show
The show will follow the same format as those around the country. I’ve been attending the show in various cities like Long Beach, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. since as early as 2016. Other New York-based travel writers and TV hosts will include Pauline Frommer, Peter Greenberg, Andrew McCarthy, and Samantha Brown.

How amazing! congrats! I wish I was around to see you speak! In other news I just saw you do a Goodfella’s tour?!?! What! My bf is obsessed! Going to have to take him back to NY ASAP!
Yes, I do the Goodfellas tour most weekends when I’m not traveling.
I’m a total foodie, so I would love to see you speak about the area’s food. Local food is always so amazing if you know where to go.
Thanks Beth! I am working on a Brooklyn dumpling listicle as well.
Ah! I always go to IMM, which is the day before the travel show, but it leaves me with not enough energy to go to the show. Maybe I will this year since it’s all at the same time!
Hi Jennifer. Will you attend IMM this year?
That has to be a wonderful opportunity for you to participate.
Yes, Shilpa. I used to attend as a consumer back in the mid-2010s.
I’ve never been to the New York Travel & Adventure Show, but I will be in the city that week! I’ll share with a few friends. Looking forward to hearing you speak!
Thanks Ebony. Use IMAYROAM23 for $6 off admission.
Wow, you are going for two travel shows and talk. That’s impressive and wish I can join you. Do you guys have an online channel for this show where we can see the show?
