Dubai
Dubai is a powerfully attractive destination where there’s so much to see and do, beginning with the never-ending mystique of the Burj Khalifa to the incredibly-mesmerizing Miracle Garden and the endless fun to be had at IMG Worlds of Adventure. Plus, Abu Dhabi is less than an hour away.
The Chance To Revisit Your Childhood
You can become a child again at the world’s largest indoor theme park. IMG Worlds of Adventure is divided into several fun zones such as Marvel, Lost Valley Dinosaur World, Cartoon Network, Bedrock and many more. The park will entrance, cajole and keep you enthralled. Take a ride on their adrenaline-pumping attractions based on superheroes such as The Hulk, Spiderman, and others in Marvel Comics. Run in crazy circles around the Flintstones in the Bedrock zone or watch Bugs Bunny go nuts in the Cartoon Network zone.
Experience The Desert
Dubai offers you the best of the best in terms of luxury along with a slice of traditional life. The desert is an ancient landscape that is part of the UAE’s culture. Sign up for a desert safari and enjoy its mystical presence. If you’re into adventure sports, you’ll love all the dune bashing, camel riding, quad biking and sand boarding. If you’re more laid back, you’ll love exploring the vistas in front of you and breathing in the mystery of the desert.
It’s A Shopper’s Paradise
What more can you expect from a city that’s home to the largest shopping mall in the world? The Dubai Mall will keep you occupied for days with its high-end retail offerings. There’s more than just one mall, however. You can also check out the Marina Mall, the Emirates Mall, the Ibn Battuta Mall, and others. For a bit of rural flavor, head to the spice, gold, or carpet souqs at Bur Dubai and Deira.
Sea, Sand, and Year-Round Sun
Dubai’s many beaches are a definite draw for visitors, especially those coming from more frigid places. It’s never cold in Dubai, and the entire year is tanning time. If you’re looking to top off that tan, head straight to Dubai and enjoy your share of the more than 1,000 km of coastline. You can do more than just swim, though! There various water sports such as kayaking, surfing, kite-surfing, waterboarding, banana boating and other ingenious water sports.
Feast Your Eyes On 45 Million Flowers at Dubai Miracle Garden
This incredible garden is set on a sprawling 21,000 square foot area where 45 million flowers bloom, from the common to the rare. What’s really magnificent about this garden is that every season, the flowering plants are manipulated to look like great landmarks of the world, actors, cartoon characters, or anything else you can imagine, depending on that season’s theme. Dubai Miracle Garden shows off the city’s softer side, away from tall skyscrapers and massive installations. You don’t have to be a botanist to appreciate it either.
Take In The Brilliant Skyline
Dubai has more skyscrapers in one small area than anywhere else in the world. It’s home to the some of the world’s most varied landscapes and attractions. Enjoy a slow soft dhow cruise along Dubai’s waters at night, while you gaze in awe at the city’s majestic skyline. From the comfort of a dhow, you can feast your eyes on Dubai landmarks like the brilliantly-lit Burj Khalifa, the Burj al Arab, the Dubai Frame, the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountains as you cruise along.
Come And Visit The Foodie Heaven On Earth
What comes with such a diverse population of expats? A plethora of food options! Dubai is home to a spectacular range of cuisines. You’ll get everything from Indian to Persian, French, Korean, Japanese, Pakistani, Filipino, Chinese, British, American, etc. There are a wide array of restaurants in Dubai to choose from as well, from street stalls and food courts to humble cafes and high-end Michelin-starred eateries. Dubai also hosts numerous food festivals throughout the year.
Climb The World’s Tallest Skyscraper
Endlessly enchanting and forever mysterious, the majestically tall Burj Khalifa turns up its nose at lesser buildings, standing at 829 meters tall. The view from the 125th floor’s Observatory Deck is to die for. It’s the overall At The Top Burj Khalifa experience that will really get your blood pumping. Feel the adrenaline streaming through your bloodstream, as you gaze in awe at Dubai’s splendid skyline and the iridescent Dubai Fountains below. Several telescopes are mounted in stations around the observatory deck so you can get a closer look at some of the other incredible landmarks such as the Palm Islands.
Strike Gold in Dubai!
Before there were shopping malls, people shopped at souqs. Even today, there are still traditional gold souks at Souq Madinat and other places in Dubai. Gold has been vital to Dubai’s economy since the 1940’s. It is estimated that at any given time, approximately 10 tons of gold is present in the souq. If you can’t afford to buy, you can still stand in front of the displays and gasp in awe. The shine of that much gold is a once in a lifetime experience for many visitors!
Enjoy The Melting Pot Of Multiple Cultures
More than 200 different nationalities call Dubai home. 90% of the city’s population comes from outside the UAE. This makes Dubai one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Most of Dubai’s expats are first-generation, so their customs, culture, and religious beliefs are still intact.
Great list. I haven’t been to Dubai yet but I know it’s not too far away. I have to get to the top of the Burj Khalifa!
I agree with you. But technically anytime is great to visit Dubai. I have been to Dubai several times. And I keep visiting it due to certain reasons it is an absolute lovely place.
Wow it looks lovely although it has never been somewhere that appeals to me? My friend lives there and says it’s a great place for socialising but I’m not sure it’s suited to my young family?
Good list you got there. I have been to Dubai and I did most of your list, but you haven’t included main Dubai mall. I find people very much introvert, way more than me. But never-the-less, it is still a great place to visit any time.
